Large-format display design has traditionally involved a trade-off between scale, room conditions and physical integration.

Projection can produce an exceptional large image and remains particularly effective in dedicated, light-controlled environments. Conventional televisions provide simple direct-view operation, but their dimensions are determined by the panel sizes manufactured by the brand.

MicroLED offers another approach.

Daylight Performance

One of the most important differences between direct-view MicroLED and projection is the way the image is produced.

A projector creates an image using light reflected from a screen. Ambient light reaching that same surface can reduce perceived contrast, particularly in darker content.

MicroLED generates the image directly at the display surface. MicroWall is currently specified at 600 nits brightness with a 15,000:1 contrast ratio, providing strong image visibility in spaces with normal ambient light.

Fine-Pitch CoB for Close Viewing

Not all LED walls are designed to be viewed from the distances common in a home, meeting room or museum.

MicroWall uses Full Flip Chip CoB technology and is available in nominal 0.9 mm and 1.2 mm pixel pitches.

Fine pixel pitch increases pixel density, allowing large displays to retain a smoother appearance from closer viewing positions.
